In a bid to improve the education sector in all Naga inhabited areas, the All Naga Students Association Manipur (ANSAM) on its study tour reached Tamenglong on Wednesday and inspected institutes in the district.
ANSAM members led by its president Thiitung Wanglar along with other student bodies and civil voluntary organisations, including the Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur (RNSOM), All Inpui Students' Union (AISU), Zeme Students Organisation Manipur (ZSOM), Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR), and the Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Tamenglong Luangrian inspected Tamenglong College.
The team interacted with the principal of Tamenglong College N Daimai where the principal shared the grievances, including lack of infrastructures among others.
They also visited Tamenglong Higher Secondary School where it was found that there is no head of the institution after the retirement of its Principal KC Huduan. Earlier, the team met the deputy commissioner Tamenglong and discussed various development issues. They also met the chief medical officer Tamenglong and discussed the shortage of manpower in the district hospital and other requirements.
