The faculty members, non-teaching staff and students of Biochemistry Department, Manipur University on Wednesday condoled the death of Associate Professor Dr K Khamba Singh, who was also the head of the department in Manipur College, terming it a loss for the department.

"He has been associated with the Department of Biochemistry, Manipur University for the last several years. His untimely demise has left a vacuum which would be hard to fill up and is a great loss for the Biochemistry Department," the department said in its condolence message.

A condolence meeting was held on Wednesday at 1 pm in the department and a two-minute silence was observed to pay homage to the departed soul.

"The department deeply mourns this irreparable loss and shares grieve and anguish of’ the bereaved family," it added.
