Nagaland has crossed a century on COVID-19 case count as 13 new positive cases were reported, the state health department said on Saturday.
With the 13 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the state, the total number of positive cases in the state rose to 107 on Saturday, according to Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom. He said all the 13 fresh cases are Chennai returnees. They are among those 252 samples tested.
Meanwhile, more and more stranded people are returning to Nagaland.
On Friday, 1,498 stranded people arrived in Dimapur by a train from Bengaluru. On the same day, an Air India flight carrying 12 passengers, including four females and eight males, from Guwahati landed at Dimapur airport.
Reports said that all the passengers were taken to quarantine centres after they were screened medically and other mandatory procedures were taken up.
Many more people will be returning to Nagaland by bus from Bhopal on June 8.
