India's COVID-19 confirmed tally surges above 85-lakh mark

As many as 559 more lives were lost due to the infectious disease and the total number of deaths has risen to 1,26,121.

India's COVID-19 caseload has crossed 85-lakh mark with new 45,674 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The cumulative number of coronavirus cases in the country is now 85,07,754.

As many as 559 more lives were lost due to the infectious disease and the total number of deaths rose to 1,26,121 as of Saturday.

Meanwhile, 49,082 more persons were discharged and the cumulative number of persons recovered from coronavirus is 78,68,968. The recovery rate of the country from coronavirus is 92.49 per cent.

Dadra And Nagar Haveli And Daman And Diu have the highest recovery rate with 98.96 per cent. The UT has 3,273 total coronavirus cases, 32 active cases, two deaths and 3,239 recovered cases with six persons recovered in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 in India is 5,12,665. As many as 11,94,487 samples were tested in a span of a day. The total number of samples tested as of November 7 is 11,77,36,791.
