Assam Rifles personnel nab three persons with heroin worth Rs 2 crore

The AR personnel seized 2.4 kg of heroin worth over Rs 2 crore in international market.

Assam Rifles personnel stationed at Singat apprehended three persons near Zoukhonuam village under Singat sub-division on Friday with 2.4 kg of heroin worth more than Rs 2 crore in international market.

The apprehended persons were identified as Khamzakhup, 32, son of Khamminpau, Mangsuankhai, 34, son of Khaisuanpao and Thangminlien, 32, son of Chinsuanpau, all from Singat town.

The seized drugs packed in 198 numbers of soap cases were weighted in front of the ND and PS Judge on Saturday. An FIR has been registered at Singat Police Station and the accused persons were taken to police custody while further investigation is going on.
