North East India Tribal Welfare Association inducts new office bearers

The next meeting of the association will be held at Dimapur and Guwahati with all the representatives from North East states.

Induction programme for new office bearers of the North East India Tribal Welfare Association (NEITWA) was held on Saturday at National Games village, Imphal East.

After a marathon discussion, the house has appointed Komuo Poji as the general secretary, AS Ningpem as joint secretary and Th Vipuni Ruhmai as vice-chairman, said a release issued by chairman of NEITWA, T Ashuhrii Romeo.

The release said that the next meeting of the association will be held at Dimapur and Guwahati with all the representatives from North East states.

Former general secretary of NEITWA Romeo Bungdon who attended the programme urged the newly elected members to work sincerely and diligently for the upliftment of the tribal rights, it added.
