MHRC directs AMWJU to reconsider W Dhamendro’s expulsion case

MHRC directed the HR, Lamjingba Manangement Services Pvt. Ltd to redress the grievances of W Dhamendro within 15 days.

The Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) directing AMWJU to reconsider the expulsion of joint editor Kangleipaki Meira, W Dhamendro, advised the union to re-examine if his (Dhamendro) expulsion is proportionate or reasonable “qua his fault” and then pass any appropriate order other than any major penalty.

The commission in the order also stated that AMJWU shall exercise this power within a period of 15 days from the date of its receipt of this proceeding order.

MHRC further directed the HR, Lamjingba Manangement Services Pvt. Ltd to redress the grievances of W Dhamendro within 15 days from the date of its receipt of this order and at the same time Put. Ltd. should clear and pay all the arrear of back wages to Dhamendro immediately.

The directives were given in connection with a complaint lodged by W Dhamendro against AMWJU and HR, Lamjingba Manangement Services Pvt. Ltd for his expulsion from the membership of AMWJU and service at the Pvt. Ltd.

The commission passed the orders and disposed of the case on Wednesday after hearing the submissions from both the counsels and carefully examining the supporting materials produced.
