The Thouthok-Thouram Wa Lisin Kon (THOUWALIKON) has urged authority concerned to open department of Wari Liba (Oral Storytelling/ Narration) in Manipur Cultural University (MCU). In a release, THOUWALIKON said that Wari Liba is a unique art form of the state that have the scope to open the course up to PhD level. However, it is being attached in dance department of MCU. In order to preserve this art form, proper research and study is crucial. As such, authority concerned should open the full-fledged department of Wari Liba, the release added.
