Kangpokpi donates Rs 1,78,100 for Chassad rebuilding

The contribution for Chassad was arranged through crowd funding under the joint initiative of the Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization and the Kangpokpi Youth Union.

People of Kangpokpi District Headquarters on Tuesday contributed a cash amount of Rs.1,78,100 towards the rebuilding of Chassad village in Kamjong District through crowd funding under the joint initiative of the Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization and the Kangpokpi Youth Union.

The Kangpokpi Town Committee called on the Kuki Khanglai Lompi (KLL) Tuesday at its office in Kangpokpi District Headquarters and handed over the amount in the presence of the local civil bodies.

Pastor Jangsat Chongloi, CRC Kangpokpi dedicated the contribution amount and sought God's blessing for early restoration of Chassad village before handing over to KKL President Kamthang Haokip.

The handing over of the contribution amount was attended by Lunseh Kipgen, chairman Kangpokpi Town Committee and his colleagues,Hekim Hangshing, president Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization and her colleagues and Haolet Khongsai, president Kangpokpi Youth Union apart from the other local bodies leaders.

Kangpokpi Town Committee chairman Lunseh Kipgen asserted that Chassad village is a historical Kuki village so the Kuki community stood firm for its restoration while exhorting the efforts and struggles of Chassad Re-building Monitoring Committee and Kuki Khanglai Lompi and other civil society organizations under the aegis of the Kuki Inpi Manipur.
