Mizoram continues to prevent COVID-19 death

Mizoram’s COVID-19 confirmed tally has reached 2,310, including 125 active cases.

Mizoram’s COVID-19 confirmed tally has reached 2,310 as 30 more people tested positive. Despite the high number of positive cases, the state has managed to prevent COVID-19 death till date.

The new confirmed COVID-19 cases included nine children. A total of 15 new cases were reported from Aizawl, eight from Serchhip, five Border Security Force from Lunglei and two from Hnahthial district. Twenty-three of the new cases have no significant travel history, the health department stated.

Of the 98,852 samples tested for COVID- 19 in the state so far, 145 are active cases as 2,165 people have recovered from the disease, the state health department said.

Meanwhile, Assam continues to register the highest number of COVID-10 infection in the entire Northeast India region with confirmed tally crossing 2 lakh mark.
