A one-day Manipuri folk festival ‘Salai Esei’ was held at the community hall of Heirong Khombi, Lamlai on Friday, organised by Nongpok Langlei Academy, Lamlai Mayai Leikai.
Various folk artistes performed during the festival which included songs, Pung Cholom (roar of the drums) and others. It was attended by social worker of Chana Lukhoi, Achoibam Deben and president of Lamlai Development Committee, H Ibotombi among others.
Meanwhile, under the supervision of Deben and Lamlai Kendra Political Forum, essential items were also donated to 60 households of Lamlai assembly constituency including Pungdongbam which has been announced as a containment zone.
Moreover, tin sheet roofs were also donated to three persons of Yorbung Mamang Leikai and Takhel Mamang Leikai.
