The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Henglep Block in its press release signed by its secretary of Information and Publicity, S Sonminlal Haokip stated that they are appalled to witness the snail-paced development of Henglep-Phaijang PMGSY road, which has been constructed under PMGSY (vide Package No. MNO-3321).

Although the funds for earth-cutting to WB (Water-Bound-Macadam/3rd stage of the road construction) of the 53-kilometer stretch were withdrawn at the beginning of the year 2019, earth-cutting for only 5 kilometres have been completed and rest of the works are still remained aborted, said the press release.

KSO Henglep Block, Churachandpur district has appealed to the authority concerned to resume construction work before October 20, otherwise the students’ organisation will launch series of action to ensure early completion of the said construction in public interest, it added.
