Assam's COVID-19 confirmed tally spirals to 1,95,304

Assam has reported 1,521 new COVID-19 positive cases, and 10 more fatalities, taking the death toll to 826.

A total of 1,521 new COVID-19 cases have pushed Assam's COVID-19 confirmed cases to 1,95,304, while the death toll surged to 826 with the report of 10 more deaths in the last 24 hours as per the latest updates.

Kamrup Metropolitan has the highest confirmed tally of 45,546, followed by Dibrugarh at 9,486 and Jorhat at 8,771, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

However, with the report of more than 1000 patients being recovered daily, the cumulative recovered cases have risen to 1,66,036. With it, the cumulative active cases in the state stands at 28439.

The three Kamrup Metro, Dibrugarh and Jorhat districts also have the highest number of deaths with 109, 83, 37 cases respectively.

Assam remains the state in Northeast India with the highest incidence of Covid positive cases and highest death toll.
