Manipur State Power Company Ltd (MSPCL) has suspended assistant manager, Pradip Thounaojam, who is in judicial custody in connection with alleged cheating and exploitation of a lady.
Pradip Thounaojam was recently promoted as assistant manager (elect.), MSPCL, but was suspended after he was found involved in a criminal case (with FIR no. 12(7)2020 WPS-IE under section 417/500/504/506/376 IPC).
The alleged accused tried to conceal the matter by taking anticipatory bail. However, he was arrested by police on September 28 from Keishamthong Longjam Leirak and taken into three-day police custody. Currently, he is in 15-day judicial custody since October 1 for further investigation into the case he was implicated in.
It may be mentioned that Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) has alleged Pradip Thounaojam for cheating and exploitation of a lady who was in a relationship with him for more than 10 years, working together in Goa. He promised the lady for marriage but after they both returned from Goa 10 years later, he reportedly broke up with the lady. A case was filed against Pradip Thounaojam.
As per the complaint, they were in close relation for more than 10 years while they worked together outside the state. Pradip made a false promise of marriage to the complainant after they returned to Manipur. But, he reportedly broke up with the complainant on the pretext of family matters and eloped with another woman.
