SSDCA makes rules to be followed in by-election

The Sangaikot Sub-Division Chief Associations stated that intoxication like use of alcohol is strictly prohibited during any election-related activities.

The Sangaikot Sub-Division Chief Associations (SSDCA) has called a press conference on Sunday at Tuibong where its chairman, Khupzasuan has announced certain rules for the public to be followed in the upcoming by-election at Singat assembly constituency.

Khupzasuan said that due to COVID-19 they had set up a notice for the people of the sub-division to follow so as to facilitate free, fair, peaceful and healthy election as per the decision made by the SSDCA and civil voluntary organisations of the area. Starting from 6 pm of October 12, no outsider can come to the sub-division without permission including candidates for campaigning and gathering without the permission from SSDCA, he added.

He also said that intoxication like use of alcohol is strictly prohibited during any election related activities.

If any person or party fails to follow the rules made by the association, he or she or the party will be held responsible for any eventualities, said Khupzasuan.
