The aggrieved Anganwadi workers and helpers also displayed placards which reads, “Revoke transfer order”, “Don’t transfer our CDPO”, “We want Buddhachandra Singh only”, etc. during the sit-in-protest and rally.

Nemvah Lupheng, an Anganwadi worker said that the protest was organized to show our resentment over the transfer of the CDPO and as well as our wish to have him back.

“A dedicated and committed officer like Buddhachandra is hard to find and very rare especially in a department like ICDS and we do not want him to leave us right now,” she said. She appealed to the state government, especially the Social Welfare minister to revoke his (Buddhachandra) transfer order.
