New polling station under Singat AC inaugurated

The inauguration function was held at N Khaukual village, Sangaikot sub-division, organised by five villages with 387 voters.

MANIREDA chairman Ginsuanhau Zou on Tuesday inaugurated the new polling station of N Khaukual 60/27 under Singat assembly constituency. The inauguration function was held at N Khaukual village, Sangaikot sub-division, organised by five villages with 387 voters.

Delivering his welcome message, chief of N Khaukual village, Enkhothang thanked the chairman of MANIREDA and SDO of Sangaikot block for their efforts to station the polling station at their village which will reduce the distance for the villagers to go and cast their votes.

Ginsuanhau, who was born and raised at N Khaukual village, said that the inauguration of the polling station at M Khaukuak has brought back his memories about voting in 1972 in the village. After 48 years the polling station has been restored with 387 voters.

He also said that he has envisaged to have pucca road between Sangaikot and N Khaukual village areas by 2021 under PMEGSY and he will be taking up all the measures to make the road constructed which is approximately 15 Km long.
