As part of its student welfare programme and in a goodwill mission, Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district reached out to orphaned students in orphanage homes within Kangpokpi district during the pandemic COVID-19.
The student body had visited KC Children Home Kanglatongbi, Stephenos Children Home Leimakhong, Royal Children Home Leimakhong, Compassion Children Home Taloulong, Loagos Children Home Sipijang and Agape Children Home in Gunhom area of Kangpokpi district.
Vice-president of TSA Sadar Hills, Romen Lalginsei Lhouvum said everyone irrespective of rich and poor is the victim of the pandemic COVID-19 in various form mainly due to the prolonged lockdown and TSA’s focus is on the welfare of the student community.
“Our main focus is on the orphaned students staying at various homes in the district. We understand the hardship faced by the people running the orphanage during this pandemic and in the larger interest of the welfare of the students, we have decided to reach out to them with food so that the students can study in their respective home without being hungry,” said Romen.
He also said that TSA Sadar Hills would strive to bring changes in the education system in the district and for that the student body seeks consistent support and cooperation of the public especially from the parents and guardians of the student community.
