The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the civil service preliminary examination 2020 on Sunday, October 4, at 72 centres and 2,500 sub-centres cross the country.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the UPSC has set guidelines which candidates appearing the exam will have to follow.
Wearing of mask or face cover is mandatory. Without it, no candidate will be allowed entry into the exam hall, the commission has said.
The UPSC has also asked candidates to carry their own sanitizers to the exam centre in transparent bottle.
The central recruiting body has said that candidates have to follow COVID-19 norms of social distancing as well as personal hygiene inside the examination halls/rooms as well as in the premises of the venue.
Meanwhile, in order to facilitate students for the UPSC prelims exam, Delhi metro services will begin at 6 am on Sunday, Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) posted on Twitter.
"Public Service Announcement: To facilitate students for the UPSC examinations, Delhi Metro services will begin at 6 AM from terminal stations of all lines on 4th October," the DMRC tweeted on Saturday.
The UPSC had earlier scheduled the exam on May 31 but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Over 10.58 lakh candidates have applied for the examination this year, according to reports.
