Nagaland COVID-19 tally rises to 6429; 111 more test positive

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland is 1,160 and recovered cases stand at 5,207.

Nagaland on Saturday recorded 111 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total tally to 6429, official sources said.

The state Health Minister S Pangyu Phom said, of the new cases 63 cases are from Kohima and 48 from Dimapur. A total of 46 more patients, including 43 from Dimapur, three from Kohima, were discharged on Saturday, Phom posted on Twitter.

"111 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today. Kohima- 63, Dimapur- 48. And 46 patients have been discharged. Dimapur- 43, Kohima- 3. I applaud the Medical Team for its tireless service in combating the Virus. Let's be a responsible citizen to overcome this crisis by following SOPs," Phom tweeted.

With the detection of the new cases, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland is 1,160 and recovered cases stand at 5,207.

So far, 12 COVID-19 patients have died in the state, of which five deaths are not due to COVID-19 and five deaths are under investigation while 50 patients migrated from the state, the state health department said.
