Nagaland records 74 more COVID-19 positive cases, 67 recoveries

Nagaland now has 1,095 active cases and the recovery tally stands at 5,161.

Nagaland on Friday recorded 74 more COVID-19 positive cases, taking the state's total tally to 6,318, official sources said.

The new cases include 28 each from Dimapur and Tuensang, 14 from Kohima and four from Mokokchung, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom posted on Twitter.

A total of 67 more patients recovered on Friday, out of which, 54 patients recovered from Dimapur, six from Kohima, five from Mokokchung and one each from Mon and Zunheboto, the health minister said.

"Update! 74 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 28 each in Dimapur & Tuensang, 14 in Kohima and 4 in Mokokchung. Also, State reports 67 recoveries of COVID-19 patients. 54 from Dimapur, 6 from Kohima, 5 from Mokokchung and 1 each from Mon & Zunheboto," Phom tweeted on Friday evening.

Nagaland now has 1,095 active cases and the recovery tally stands at 5,161. So far, 12 COVID-19 patients have died in the state, of which five deaths are not due to COVID-19 and five deaths are under investigation while 50 patients migrated from the state, the state health department said.
