Union Minister Gadkari recovers from COVID-19

Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSME, was tested positive for Coronavirus on September 16

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said he has recovered from coronavirus and thanked well-wishers for their support and prayers.

Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSME, was tested positive for Coronavirus on September 16 and isolated himself. Announcing his recovery on Twitter, he posted: "I am happy to say that I have recovered from coronavirus with the blessings and good wishes of all".

On September 16, when the minister was tested positive for the disease, he had requested all who had come in contact with him to follow the protocol.

A month before he was detected with Coronavirus, on August 17, Gadkari had laid the foundation stones for 13 highway projects in Manipur and inaugurated a Road Safety project in Manipur through a video conference which was presided over by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and his minister.
