IRB Rifleman remanded to police custody for allegedly forging signature

The investigation officer stated that the accused person in the signature forgery case has admitted to have committed the offence.

The chief judicial magistrate, Imphal West, on Monday remanded a 7th IRB personnel to police custody for allegedly forging the signature of under secretary (DP) Zorisang Thiek Pangote.

The accused identified as Khuraijam Roshinikumar, son of Kh.Ningthem of Tera Khamnam Leirak, Imphal West was arrested on September 28 by Imphal police station in connection with a complaint lodged by the under secretary.

The complaint stated that some unknown person forged his signature whereby a distorted and manipulated version of the transfer and posting of 15 IPS and MPS was circulating in the social media.

While producing the accused before the court, the investigation officer submitted that the accused person has admitted to have committed the offence.

Further submitting that the motive of the case is not established so far and after the thorough interrogation of the main accused person if any behind the crime is established in the case, the IO prayed to remand the accused to police custody for further investigation and to make arrest of his associates in connection with the case.
