COVID-19 in Assam Updates: 92 more patients discharged; 1,106 cases remain active

A total of 277 COVID-19 patients have so far been discharged from hospitals in Assam.

Amid the surging COVID-19 cases in Assam, 92 more patients were on Monday discharged from different hospitals after they tested negative for the virus twice, official sources said.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that of the new recovered cases, 46 patients were discharged from Kalapahar; 22 from Mahendra Mohan Chowdhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati; 13 from TMC, Tezpur; seven from Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH); two from Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH), Barpeta and one each from Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) and Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh.

"92 patients have been discharged today after they tested negative for #COVID twice. Kalapahar 46; MMCH 22; TMC 13; JMCH 07; FAAMCH 02; SMCH 01; AMCH 01," the minister tweeted.

A total of 277 COVID-19 patients have so far been discharged from hospitals in Assam.

On Monday, as 29 cases were reported in the state, taking the number of total confirmed cases to 1,390 including four deaths and three migrated cases. As many as 1,106 cases remain active, the health minister said.
