Tangkhuls in Ukhrul fast and pray for early solution to Indo-Naga peace talks

The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) and the Wung Tangkhul Region under the aegis of the Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) held a special fasting and prayer programme on Friday.

The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) and the Wung Tangkhul Region under the aegis of the Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) held a special fasting and prayer programme at the TNL Assembly Hall in Ukhrul on Friday for an early solution to the prolonged Indo-Naga peace talks.

“On behalf of Tangkhul Inter Denomination Leaders Forum, I would like to share that the Tangkhuls living in different parts of the world have come together to pray for an early solution to the prolonged Indo-Naga peace talks, a solution that is peaceful and acceptable to us as well as different communities,” pastor of the Union Baptist Church, Rev. Remember Rimai said.

The programme began at 8 am and concluded at 12 noon. It was attended by religious leaders of different denominations and leaders of Tangkhul civil societies.
