Thadou Inpi General Headquarters has condemned the removal of lone woman minister Nemcha Kipgen from cabinet and demanded to reinstate her in the cabinet.
The apex body of Thadou Tribe stated that the untimely change and reshuffle in the state cabinet on Thursday is indeed unexpected. With a sense of positive outcome in this regard, the body is seriously concerned over the removal of the lone woman, who is a BJP member and MLA of Kangpokpi assembly constituency, from the state cabinet, it added.
It also stated that the dropping of Nemcha has shown disrespect to women empowerment and left the people of her constituency and women community of state in shock.
Hence, it is the onus of the government to rectify and reinstate the MLA who procured immense development and prosperity in the district and in the state, it added.
It further stated the necessity of one minister from the three assembly constituencies of Kangpokpi district is felt by everyone and so timely intervention from the authority concerned is strongly needed.
