MLA Alfred presents TV sets to Ukhrul Police

The TV sets were given to boost the morale of the police force in the fight against Coronavirus, the MLA said.

MLA of Ukhrul assembly constituency, Alfred Kanngam Arthur presented two TV sets to Ukhrul Police so as to motivate the police personnel in their fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Sub-inspector, Marchang W told this IFP correspondent that the MLA has presented two 43 inch TVs along with Tata Sky DTH sets for Ukhrul Police, one is for Ukhrul Police Station and the other for security guard at Ukhrul District Hospital. He expressed gratitude to the MLA for his concern and generosity.

It is worth mentioning that the police personnel, since the beginning of the lockdown on March 20, has been relentlessly working and enforcing the SOP and successfully implementing the various guidelines issued by the authority concerned.

On July 6, the MLA had also provided three sets of sofa seat, colour TV and coffee machines for the ‘on-call room’ at Ukhrul District Hospital. An on-call room is a room in a hospital with either a couch or a bunk for staff to rest in while they are on call.
