Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been admitted at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital in New Delhi, sources said on Wednesday.
The deputy CM was admitted to the LNJP Hospital at around 4 pm following complaints of fever and low oxygen level. He has no comorbidities, hospital sources said, adding he is under observation.
Sisodia had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 14 and was in isolation. He is the second minister in the Delhi government to test positive for COVID-19 after Health Minister Satyendar Jain. The health minister had tested positive for COVID-19 in June.
Meanwhile, in the day, Jain said there is no shortage of oxygen in the capital hospitals for the treatment of Covid-19 patients, but there is a shortage of private hospital beds in ICUs. In the wake of it, the Delhi government has advised asymptomatic patients to opt for home isolation.
COVID-19 confirmed tally in Delhi has reached 2,56,789 cases with the report of 3,714 new positive cases. Of them, 5,087 have died so far, according to the Union Health Ministry.
