Education, Labour and Employment Minister Thokchom Radheshyam on Tuesday interacted with cancer patients at Regional Cancer Centre, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal on the occasion of World Rose Day 2020 organised by Radiation Oncology Department, RIMS.

World Rose Day is observed on September 22 in the memory of 12-year-old Melinda Rose from Canada who was diagnosed with Askin’s Tumour, a rare form of blood cancer and her efforts to bring cheer and hope into the lives of other patients, even in the face of her own disease.

During the observance function, Thokchom Radheshyam said that doctors are like demigod as they have a few great qualities different from others. Doctors did see, listen and feel what others didn’t and give their best effort to take care of their patients during treatment, he added.
