PMJAY is one of biggest health schemes which gives up to Rs 5 lakh to beneficiaries: CM Biren

Chief Minister N Biren on Sunday claimed that recently a total number of 2,70,000 people of the state have enrolled in Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Biren said the total number of the beneficiaries of the scheme which covered up to Rs 5 lakh in the state is 14,00,008.

Biren said that the scheme is one of the biggest health schemes which covered up to Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries.

Regarding the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT), Biren said that a total of 3,40,000 people were enrolled and a total of 37,370 had benefitted the said scheme.

So far CMHT has sanctioned a total of Rs 4,00,30,000 to the beneficiaries since the implementation of the scheme from 2017, he added.
