Chief Minister N Biren on Sunday claimed that recently a total number of 2,70,000 people of the state have enrolled in Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Biren said the total number of the beneficiaries of the scheme which covered up to Rs 5 lakh in the state is 14,00,008.
The chief minister was speaking to the media on Sunday at his official secretariat office in connection with the 2nd anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
Biren said that the scheme is one of the biggest health schemes which covered up to Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries.
Regarding the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT), Biren said that a total of 3,40,000 people were enrolled and a total of 37,370 had benefitted the said scheme.
So far CMHT has sanctioned a total of Rs 4,00,30,000 to the beneficiaries since the implementation of the scheme from 2017, he added.
