Andaman and Nicobar Islands has least number of Coronavirus active cases in India

The total number of active cases stands at 196, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry bulletin on Friday.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands has the least number of Coronavirus active cases in India. The total number of active cases stands at 196, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry bulletin on Friday.

This Union territory of India comprising as many as 572 small islands has recorded a cumulative 3,574 COVID-19 confirmed cases as 17 more people tested positive on Thursday. Of them, 3,378 patients have been discharged while 52 patients have died as per latest updates.

According to official reports South Andaman has recorded maximum of the cumulative positive cases in the islands.

It may be noted that of the 572 islands in the Union territory, 37 are inhabited.
