Supreme Court dismisses MPSC’s leave petition

The Manipur Public Service Commission sought to vacate the stay order of the High Court of Manipur in connection with the MCSCC Prelims Exam 2019.

The Supreme Court of India has dismissed the Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by the Manipur Public Service Commission, seeking to vacate the stay order of the High Court of Manipur in connection with the MCSCC Prelims Exam 2019.

The order was passed by a triple bench comprising justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Mohan M Shantana Goudar and Vineet Sarani of the apex court.

The special leave petition was dismissed on the ground that the case is still pending consideration before the High Court of Manipur. The triple bench further pointed out that the MSPC filed the SLP after an “unexplained” delay of 209 days.
