A one-day ‘Nata Sankritana’ festival was held on Sunday at Charangpat Maklang Mamang Leikai community Hall, Thoubal district.
The festival was organised by K Ibotombi Cultural Academy, Charangpat under the financial assistance of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
The inaugural event witnessed the presence of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy's director (in-charge) Pukhrambam Bilash as chief guest.
Bilash, who is also a Sangeet Natak awardee, lauded the teachers and students of the cultural academy for preserving the valuable assets of art and culture like Nata Sankritana. He said that the Ministry of Art and Culture, Government of India and Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi have provided financial assistance to promote the arts and culture of the country.
