The All Tribal Rights’ Protection Forum Manipur (ATRPFM) has made a final appeal to the authority concerned to disburse the funds for family oriented schemes and scholarships for ST students to the beneficiaries for the financial years of 2018-19 and 2019-20 within September.

The funds for 2018-19 have been partly disbursed to some beneficiaries but there are still many beneficiaries who have not received the said funds till date, stated a release issued from ATRPFM.

It has been very unfortunate that the scholarships of the students have been withheld for many months and also diverted the funds of family oriented schemes and failed to disburse and transfer to the beneficiaries’ accounts till date.

There is a clear indication that some officers have been playing games with the funds of the TA and Hills, and ATRPFM would no longer remain silent, it warned and further said that the forum has repeatedly made requests and approached the minister of TA and Hills, and the staff of the department.

The release continued that instead of fulfilling their demands, they were repeatedly fooled by them with false promises. As such, the members of the forum decided to take their course of action without further communication in the matter, if the government and the authorities of TA and Hills fail to discharge their duties within the month of September, 2020, it added.
