Nagaland COVID-19 active cases rise to 1,144

The state has been reporting huge spikes in the past few days.

The COVID-19 situation in Nagaland is becoming grim with huge spikes reported in the state in the past few days.

On September 11 alone, the state reported 310 cases of COVID-19 from 922 samples tested. According to the Health department, from among the fresh cases, Dimapur recorded 176 cases, Kohima recorded 127 cases, three in Zunheboto and one each in Wokha, Mon and Mokokchung districts.

On September 10, the state reported 261 cases of COVID-19 from 741 samples tested. Out of those cases, Dimapur recorded 197 cases, 59 from Kohima and 5 from Mokokchung.

Meanwhile, according to the Health department source, Nagaland has now 1144 active cases of COVID-19. The update also said that altogether 3781 recovered cases.

It can be mentioned here that the commercial hub Dimapur is functioning normally. For the past two weeks, shops and other business establishments have been operating on normal timing.
