Moreh CVOs condemn gangrape of minor girl

CVOs in Moreh jointly appealed to the state government to give appropriate punishment to the culprits according to the law of the land.

Meetei Council Moreh (MCM), All Community Development Organisation Moreh (ACODOM) and Manipuri Muslim Council Moreh (MMCM) have strongly condemned the gangrape and mercilessly killing of a minor girl from Mayang Imphal.

In a press conference held on Tuesday at the office of ACODOM and the three CVOs jointly appealed to the state government to give appropriate punishment to the culprits according to the law of the land.

The punishment should give a lesson to all the ill-minded people so that the inhumane act does not repeat in the future, said the CVOs.

The joint bodies also affirmed that they are ready to cooperate in any type of steps or agitation taken up by the JAC and family members of the victim.

The press conference was attended by vice-president of MCM, L Tomba Singh, president of ACODOM, Th Budha Meitei and vice-president of MMCM, Md Abdul Hamid.
