The Rongmei Naga Students’ Organisation (RNSO) has demanded the Tribal Affairs & Hills, Government of Manipur to disburse pending Pre-matric and Post-matric scholarship 2019-2020.
The organisation earnestly requested the authorities concerned to disburse pending scholarship as the students are facing financial inconveniences and various study related activities and to maintain their daily demands due to COVID-19 issue, stated a release. The organisation shall be compelled to resort to stern action against the authority if the requests are not heeded, it stated.
The student body also alleged that the authorities concerned have not taken the matter seriously and urged the authorities to take up immediate action within the specific time and the general public to support the genuine cause in the interest of the student community and their welfare.
The demands should be fulfilled at the earliest possible time before the new academic session commences and non fulfilment of the said notice will invite severe agitations, it added.
