“We are all aware that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Poshan Abhiyan for holistic nourishment with a vision to address malnutrition in the country by 2022,” Biren stated in his message.

The celebration aims at making people aware of the importance of nutrition and giving individual services to support supplement nutrition for their children and pregnant women and lactating mothers, the chief minister stated.

The primary objective of the Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebration is to identify and trace those children with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and provide them care and support.
