Churachandpur district police have arrested two men in a theft case in which electronic goods worth over Rs 7 lakh was stolen last Thursday from a local mobile and computer shop.
The arrested have been identified as one Khuplianmang, 27, son of Lamkhankap, and one Nangkhanpiang, 25, son of Thangkhanmuan. Both belong to Kanan Veng in Churachandpur town.
According to reports, last Thursday, electronics goods items were stolen from one mobile shop named as ‘Bits World Mobile & Computer shop’ located at Nehru Marg Junction, Churachandpur town.
In connection with the incident, a case with reference to GD Entry number 09/CCP-PS/2020 was lodged at concerned police station on the same day of the incident.
Following the investigation, sub-inspector (SI) Shominthang Kipgen, SI, Martin Mangjahao Singson and SI, Chinzasiam along with a team of Churachandpur police station under the supervision of superintendent of police, Churachandpur district recovered the stolen items from the possession of two accused persons on Sunday. Necessary action will be taken, police added.
