Assam COVID-19 recovery tally surges to 88,727 cases

As many as 2,644 new positive cases were reported while 1,834 patients recovered in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.

Assam on Thursday reported 1,15,280 COVID-19 positive tally, including 88,727 recovered cases, according to official sources.

As many as 2,644 new positive cases were reported while 1,834 patients recovered in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning, the state health department said.

However, the state has registered a high death toll of 323 as eight more COVID-19 patients succumbed to death.

Assam's tally of death, positive, active and recovery cases in the entire Northeast region till date.

Meanwhile, the nationwide positive tally rose to 38,53,406 cases, while active tally shot up to 8,15,538 as of Thursday morning, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said.
