COVID-19 in Mizoram: Total confirmed cases climb to 1011

Three more people tested positive for Coronavirus on Monday.

Mizoram COVID-19 tally is slowly picking up as three more persons tested positive for the virus, taking the state's tally to 1,011, official sources said on Monday.

The three new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Kolasib district, the official said, adding that they were truck drivers, who came from Assam.

The total number of recovered cases is 589 as five more patients were discharged today. With it, the COVID-19 recovery rate is 58.26 per cent.

The cumulative number of active cases stands at 422, with Aizawl registering the highest number of cases.

Till date, Mizoram remains the only state in the Northeast with no death case due to Covid-19.

Meanwhile, India’s total confirmed tally has risen to 36,24,613 on Monday.
