An online essay writing competition on the topic ‘Youth Development and Indian Football’, with an aim to qualify for World Cup 2030, is being held to commemorate the occasion of National Sports Day on August 29.
District Youth Coordinator, NYK Thoubal, Michael Thangminlien Mate stated in a release that participation is invited to all individuals across the country aged between 15-29 years.
All participants will be given a certificate of participation and cash prize which will be credited into their bank accounts with Rs 1,000, Rs 500 and Rs 300 for the first prize, second prize and third prize respectively with five consolation prizes of Rs 100 each.
The release said that the last date of submission will be 5 pm of August 29 and entries can be sent to dycnykchandel@ gmail.com or dycnykthoubal@gmail.com or can be sent in pdf format via whatsapp to 8787788281/ 8415887403, it stated. The release mentioned that the essay should have 1,000 words or more.
The competition is being organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Chandel in collaboration with Muvanlai Athletics Foundation (sponsors of Prize Money).
