All returnees will be tested for COVID-19 immediately on their arrival in Manipur and those found negative for Coronavirus will be allowed to go home, the state government notified on Tuesday.
The Manipur government on Tuesday issued the revised standard operating procedure for handling of returnees and stated that those tested negative for COVID-19 are not required to stay in quarantine centres.
According to the notification issued by the state government, all returning persons to Manipur will be tested for COVID-19 immediately and if they are found to be negative they will be allowed to go home.
The returnees are advised to maintain all COVID preventing measures such as wearing of mask, frequently washing of hands with soap and water, maintaining social distance among others.
The notification signed by chief secretary Rajesh Kumar also mentioned that no person will be kept in quarantine centre after they are tested negative and all district chief medical officers are directed to ensure immediate testing of returnees.
