Teachers and principals of all schools in Nagaland have been asked by the state education department to provide suggestions on how to implement the National Education Policy 2020. All suggestions received will be examined by a team of experts from NCERT.
The Department of School Education, Nagaland, has sought suggestions from the school principals and teachers “on each theme of the NEP related to school education, through a question-answer process”, according to a DIPR report.
The report also stated that the questions are framed in such a manner that teachers can relate to them from their experience as teachers and classroom transactions.
The report then stated that each question also gives reference to the paragraph of NEP to which it refers to, so as to enable teachers to read the same for better understanding of the policy, before uploading suggestions.
It also said that for gathering further information, if required, teachers whose suggestions are found useful for incorporating in the national curriculum framework or in the implementation plan will be individually contacted.
Teachers and Principals can go to the link http://innovateindia.mygov.in/nep2020 and register their details first. After that, they may browse through the chapter wise questions, and give suggestions on as many areas as they deem fit based on their own experiences and learning.
The dates for uploading suggestions by teachers are August 24 to 31.
