Yaipha Thourang Thousil Lup distributes groceries to BPL families in Moreh

The grocery items included three kg of rice and dal with salt items for each person of every family.

To help the families under Below Poverty Line (BPL) in getting their daily needs during COVID-19 lockdown, Yaipha Thourang Thousil Lup (YTT), Moreh Khunou Leikai on Sunday distributed grocery items to 961 persons.

The grocery items included three kg of rice and dal with salt items for each person of every family and the distribution was carried out by YTT president, S Santosh and YTT secretary, K Tolensana Mangang with other office bearers at the office of YTT.

Tolensana Mangang said that the grocery items were distributed from the contributions made by the members of YTT. He further said that due to the lockdown, people of the locality are facing immense hardships as there is no means of earning. The initiative has been carried out to help the people in getting some relief during the crucial time of pandemic, he added.
