Manipur BJP gears up to celebrate central govt’s completion of 1st year of its second term

The Manipur BJP will hold celebrations for a week, starting from May 30 by conducting various activities that focuses on prevention of COVID-19.

With the central government completing the first year of its second term under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Manipur BJP will hold celebrations for a week, starting from May 30 by conducting various activities that focuses on prevention of COVID-19.

In a press conference held at state BJP office located at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal, state vice president Jotin Waikhom said that for the observation, the state BJP president has formed various committees to assist and look after the various activities to defend from COVID-19.

Various members of the party have been appointed as in-charge to perform their responsibilities during the week. Kh Jibon, K Kiran Singh and L Gopal will take responsibility for overall coordination, documentation and reporting while Benjamin Mate, N Nongpoknganba will take the responsibility for discussion programmes, press conference and videos on media platforms, he said.

Salam Joy and M Praphullo Singh will take the responsibility for monitoring ‘distribution of face masks and sanitizers, 500 video conferences for each morcha’. L Tejkumar Singh and Ch Umakanta Sharma will take the responsibility for ‘creation of WhatsApp groups and monitoring of one thousand video conferences,’ he informed. 

Jotin Waikhom, Z Kikhonbou Newmai and Nongpoknganba will take the responsibility for ‘virtual rallies and discussion about ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ package with various stakeholders and Robin Blakie, S Ulka Devi will take the responsibility to conduct press conferences, he said.

Jotin further said according to an order issued by state BJP president new office bearer have been appointed as in charge of districts, morchas and cells of state BJP.

During the weeklong celebration, BJP central committee instructed the state BJP to conduct individual contact campaign, digital outreach and virtual dialogues. Jotin informed that the activities will be conducted by maintaining protocols and guidelines of avoid the spread of COVID-19.

National general secretary and headquarter in charge of BJP, Arun Singh also issued the list of programmes to be conducted during the week by maintaining the guidelines and protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as a part of the celebration.
