Expressing concern over the rising number of COVID-19 patients in the state, ‘Nupi Keithel Sinpham Amadi Saktam Kanba Lup’ has appealed to the state government to enforce a total lockdown in the state at the earliest for a few days.
In a telephonic conversation with the media on Wednesday, vice president of ‘Nupi Keithel Sinpham Amadi Saktam Kanba Lup’, Ima Mangi said that the state government should enforce a total lockdown including the government offices for about a week.
She also claimed that relaxing the lockdown can possibly be one factor for the increasing number of COVID patients in the state. Instead of fighting among themselves, the MLAs and the ministers can also suggest different measures and ideas to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Though many of the mothers are earning daily bread by selling vegetables and other items in the market, they can sacrifice a few days if it is to control the spread of COVID-19 in the state, said Mangi.
