Nagaland COVID-19 tally reaches 3,118 with 87 new positive cases

Till date, the state has 2,119 active cases of COVID-19 and 985 recovered cases.

Nagaland reported 87 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to to 3,118 confirmed cases.

According to Health Minister Pangnyu Phom, “87 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been detected out of 614 samples tested”. He said that 48 new cases of COVID-19 are from Dimapur, 35 are from Kohima, three from Zunheboto district and one from Wokha district. 

Till date, the state has 2,119 active cases of COVID-19 and 985 recovered cases.

Meanwhile, the administration has informed that 6 areas have been sealed in the state capital Kohima. A house in Upper AG Colony of Ward 15, a house in Upper P.R. Hill Colony of Ward 19, two houses in Merhulietsa (Para Medical) Colony of Ward 18, a house near CBZCC in Officer’s Hill Colony of Ward 10 and 1 staff room of Hotel Eastgate have been sealed. 

“The listed areas have been sealed in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and necessary contact tracing,” the administration stated.
