Indian Army presents colourful band concert for COVID warriors in Manipur

As a curtain raiser to the 74th Independence Day celebrations, the Indian Army organised a colourful band display to honour the COVID warriors at 1st Manipur Rifles ground in Imphal on Wednesday.

In recognition of the COVID warriors, their services and dedication to the state and its people in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, the military bands presented an impressive band concert.

The martial tunes played by the pipe bands of the Army induced a patriotic fervour at the event which mesmerised and enthralled a large number of COVID warriors and citizens.

The event was graced by the chief secretary of Manipur, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Major General, VT Mathew, GOC 57 Mountain Division, Lt Gen KH Singh (Retd) and along with many others distinguished civil dignitaries.

The chief secretary appreciated the yeoman service of the frontline COVID Warriors and expressed his gratitude for their selfless dedication to their duty. He also complimented the Army for the thoughtful gesture of organising the display.
