Former President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday said that he has tested positive for Coronavirus.
"On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for COVID19 today," the president wrote on Twitter.
Mukherjee urged all those people who came in contact with him in recent past to maintain self-isolation and get themselves tested for COVID-19.
"I request the people who came in contact with me in the last week, to please self isolate and get tested for COVID-19," he tweeted.
Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also tested positive for Coronavirus.
Covid-19 cases in India has reached 2,217,645, according to official sources.
